Recovery and Resolution Planning – Senior Consultant
Arrayo is looking for a passionate Senior Consultant to join our Financial Services consulting team working on multiple Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) initiatives for our multinational investment banking clients. In this role, you will work on-site (hybrid model) with our client as part of a cohesive consulting team and interact with senior stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects related to Recovery and Resolution Planning, leveraging deep subject matter expertise to guide the team, ensure the successful execution of initiatives, and deliver high-quality results to stakeholders.
- Conduct gap assessments of banks' resolution planning programs, identifying areas requiring enhancement to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
- Define actionable strategies and project plans to address gaps and develop best-in-class resolution planning programs aligned with new regulatory expectations.
- Assist in detailed project plan development and deployment for preparation of resolution plans.
- Increase enterprise awareness of risk management and Recovery and Resolution Planning practices.
- Participate in firm-specific and cross-firm supervisory reviews of recovery and resolution plans to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Evaluate the robustness of recovery and resolution stress tests, including assumptions, methodologies, and results, to ensure their accuracy.
- Assess the firm's liquidity, funding, and capital profiles, collaborating with business units to align these with recovery and resolution strategies.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues impacting RRP processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy through research and solution development.
- Manage continuous improvement and automation initiatives within U.S. Resolution Forecasting.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of the objectives and regulatory expectations surrounding firms' recovery and resolution preparedness, including the ability to assess gaps and align programs with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in financial risk management, with a focus on liquidity being a strong advantage.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to synthesize information, contextualize it, and propose actionable solutions to enhance resolution planning programs.
- Deep subject matter expertise in risk identification, stress testing, market risk, credit risk (both wholesale and retail), operational risk, and capital forecasting.
- Experience in presenting, developing, and maintaining recovery or resolution plans, including the entire process of planning, execution, and delivery, as well as defining action plans and managing project streams to address program gaps.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements from agencies like the Federal Reserve, FDIC, and OCC, with a proven ability to stay current with evolving regulations and navigate the regulatory submission and feedback processes related to recovery and resolution planning.
- Ability to lead Recovery and Resolution Planning teams, conduct gap assessments, and serve as a subject matter expert in the domain.
- Team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
