Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our Pathology team for a 13-week contract assignment in Grove City, OH. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing histological procedures, including Immunohistochemistry, cytology prep, and the processing of body fluids. Strong embedding skills and proficiency in microtomy are required. This role is for a night shift, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Immunohistochemistry (cutting and staining) procedures
- Prepare cytology samples and process body fluids
- Embedding of tissue samples
- Perform microtomy to prepare slides for analysis
- Ensure high-quality standards in all histology preparations
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Histology Technician
- Knowledge of Immunohistochemistry, cytology prep, and body fluid processing
- Strong embedding and microtomy skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Schedule:
- Night shift: 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday to Friday
Contract Duration:
- 13 weeks, with potential for extension
