Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a contract position in an acute care hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs
- Take and manage their own patient assignments independently
- Work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Float as needed to other units; if assigned to ICU or ER, responsibilities will be limited to medical-surgical level patients or providing assistance as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility protocols
Requirements:
- Active LPN/LVN license
- Minimum 1–2 years of acute care hospital experience (not a long-term care unit)
- AHA BLS certification required
- Must be willing to float to other units as needed
- Expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Facility reserves the right to call off up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract (2 shifts for contracts under 13 weeks)
- Local LPN candidates are accepted
