Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team in the Nuclear Medicine Department for a contract role in Boise, ID. Key Details
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, explaining processes and answering questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
- Comply with all regulatory standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N certification).
- Active state licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology for Idaho (if applicable).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Nuclear Medicine Technician role.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear imaging equipment and handling radiopharmaceuticals.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
