Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with strong clinical skills and a collaborative approach to patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferably in an inpatient setting, and a passion for providing comprehensive healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in collaboration with the attending physician to provide comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Accurately document in the medical record, including subjective and objective data, assessments, and plans, ensuring timely and legible records.
• Provide patient and family education, offering support and information regarding treatment and care plans.
• Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with the attending physician.
• Perform a variety of patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience required; prior experience in an inpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• NYS licensed/registered NP (specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice) or NYS licensed/registered Physician Assistant (PA), or NCCPA certified or eligible PA.
• Possession of a Medicare NP# or eligibility to apply for same is required.
• CPR and ACLS certification is required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
