Job Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Syracuse, NY. This is a contract position with a night shift schedule, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY) or compact state eligibility.
- Minimum Experience in Emergency medicine required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be current).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
