Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Boise, ID. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety and efficiency of hospital operations by sterilizing, decontaminating, and preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with sterilization protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory management.
- Follow established infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide occasional weekend or holiday coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 months of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD preferred).
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to occasional schedule adjustments, including weekends and holidays.
