Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Muskegon, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with hospital policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Assemble and inspect instrument trays for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Monitor sterilization indicators to verify effectiveness and document results.
- Store and distribute sterile supplies to appropriate hospital departments.
- Follow safety procedures to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification: CBSPD or CRCST certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and medical instrumentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow hospital protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
