Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team for an immediate contract position in Boise, ID. This is a 13-week contract with a potential for extension, offering night shifts (8 hours per shift, 5 days a week).
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety by maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and availability of surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory.
- Ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies to various departments.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT or CRCST) preferred.
- Proven experience in sterile processing, decontamination, and sterilization.
- Knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
