What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician (Rotorcraft Modification Kits) position at Arrow Aviation?
Primary functions would be manufacture and assembly of rotorcraft modification parts and kits.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Review drawings, and parts lists for accuracy. Notify supervisor to resolve issues.
- Assemble Mechanical and Sheet Metal Products following engineering drawings, process specifications and work orders.
- Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect part to ensure that specifications are met.
- Inspect completed parts assemblies for conformance to drawings and specifications and to ensure that final assemblies and detail parts are protected from damage.
- Ensure that all assembly work meets quality standards.
- Perform testing and functional checks of assembled products as required.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Call for final inspection and sign-off of completed tasks.
- Resolve assembly and documentation problems, report problems to the appropriate lead or supervisor for assistance.
- Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude to put together work instructions and to assemble parts.
- Skilled at using a variety of small hand tools.
- Must be able to use precision measuring devices and perform basic math.
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Must be able to effectively communicate with team members on a regular basis.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
- Prior experience with engineering drawings a plus.
- Prefer experience in manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
- Previous aircraft experience or sheet metal work is preferred.
- Computer familiarity required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
Equipment Used
- Sheet metal shear, hand brake, roller, belt sander, band saw, drill press, sheet metal related hand and air tools.
- Employee is responsible for obtaining necessary hand tools to perform duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to screwdrivers, ratchet/sockets, drill, rivet gun, etc. Consumables (Drill bits, etc.) are provided.

Dependent upon experience and qualifications, included health insurance, paid leave, and retirement benefits.
