SUBSTANCE USE CLINICIAN SALARY: $65,000 - 75,000
SUBSTANCE USE CLINICIAN DUTIES:
- Facilitating individual, group, and psychoeducational sessions with clients and/or family members, in accordance with state regulations and Joint Commission standards.
- Assessing clients using psychometric screeners or other evidence-based assessment tools (i.e., PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.) and diagnosing clients for substance use and/or mental health disorders using the most updated Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM).
- Reviewing clients throughout the treatment episode according to ASAM criteria, to determine the need for continued services or discharge/transfer.
- Collaborating with the client in order to develop a written treatment plan that is individualized, client-centered, and recovery oriented and includes goals and measurable objectives.
- Documenting all counseling and education services, assessments, reassessments, referrals and follow-up in the client's medical record, and providing appropriate signatures and dating of such entries, including those made in electronic records.
- Developing the client discharge/transfer plans to ensure movement to the appropriate levels of care are successful.
- Participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team for assigned clients.
- Providing active case consultation.
- Master’s degree required in social work, counseling, substance use or other human services field.
- At least 1 year of experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment required. Working toward clinical licensure (i.e., LADC I, LICSW, LMHC, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with startup organizations is preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
