Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our RV Parts Distribution Warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of RV parts and accessories through the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery to customers while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of RV parts and accessories, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Transportation Coordination: Arrange freight and logistics with carriers, negotiating rates when necessary, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in warehouse workflows, such as layout adjustments or streamlined picking processes, to enhance efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data (e.g., shipping costs, delivery times) to identify trends and recommend cost-saving or performance-enhancing strategies.
- Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of inventory and resolve any discrepancies or delays in shipments.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Customer Support: Collaborate with the customer service team to address shipping inquiries, resolve delays, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, preferably in a distribution or parts-based environment. Experience with RV parts or automotive industries is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with shipping carriers and freight logistics.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Certifications: Forklift certification or HAZMAT training is a plus but not required.
Work Environment
