Role and Responsibilities

This skilled position involves installing, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, programming and servicing Audio / Video and Automation systems at customer sites. This person will organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient and professional execution of all assigned tasks.

Additional duties in this position may include :

• Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cabling between audio, video, data, and control equipment.
• Professional wire management.
• Professional rack layout and construction.
• Installation of all Network, Audio / Video, Automation, Cameras, Security, Lighting, Shading equipment, and other system products as part of the design.
• Provides technical support as needed for clients and staff.
• Create and maintain organized installation notes and system maps.
• Provide advice and suggestions to staff regarding the preparation and installation of AV materials.
• Facilitates needed equipment repairs, which includes calling vendor for RMA and returning equipment promptly to warehouse for shipment.
• Participates in project kickoff meetings as needed to understand and / or explain scopes of work.
• Maintain a clean working environment for all projects and service visits.
• Perform complete system tests after installation or service visit prior to leaving site.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

This job operates in a field environment. The field environment will be on construction sites or inside existing homes and buildings. Working conditions can change from one job to another.

Hours : Monday-Friday 7 : 00am 3 : 30pm for construction projects and 8-4 : 30pm for service projects; Early arrival and / or overtime may be necessary.
