The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employment law, the ability to manage and develop a team of employment attorneys, and a commitment to building strong, practical solutions for complex HR and employment-related issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to establish a structured Employee Relations (ER) support model, including tracking, investigating, and resolving workplace issues efficiently.
  • Standardize and implement processes for handling ER concerns, focusing on root cause analysis and proactive remediation.
  • Guide and oversee investigations into employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and involuntary terminations.
  • Advise on ADA accommodation requests and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee responses to governmental agency charges (EEOC, DOL, etc.), internal investigations, and potential litigation.
  • Provide direct legal counsel on employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination and harassment prevention, and workplace policies for the U.S., Canada, and, to a limited extent, Mexico.
  • Offer oversight and strategic guidance for employment law compliance across APAC (e.g., India, China, Japan, Singapore) and EMEA regions, working closely with regional employment counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with employment-related reporting requirements, including EEO-1, AAP, OFCCP audits, and other regulatory filings.
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions on employment law topics for HR teams, managers, and employees, both in-person and virtually.
  • Manage employment litigation strategy, including case assessments, discovery, pleadings, negotiations, and resolution.
  • Oversee internal employment law compliance reporting, analyzing risk trends, investigations, and legal matters to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Supervise dispute resolution efforts, including mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain oversight of employment law matter management, litigation tracking, and external counsel engagement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active admission to the Colorado Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience, including representation before administrative agencies.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team of attorneys and legal professionals.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
  • Expertise in global employment law, particularly within APAC and EMEA regions, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
