Our client is a leading global investment firm with $40 billion assets under AUM. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager which is based out of Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the complete and accurate processing of validating invoices, timely payment of vendors, and collaboration with other departments
- Management of vendor data as well as coordination as needed with banks
- Managing travel and expense processing
- Lead the accounts payable team and provide day-to-day guidance on GL coding, resolution of discrepancies in accordance with established policies and processes
- Investigating and performing root cause analysis, facilitating issue resolution supporting best in class customer service through efficient and accurate invoice processing
- Managing the cash flow cycle as needed (vendor payment management), includes checks, ACH, and wire payments
- Maintain proper procedures, internal controls/segregation of duties and policies, ensuring proper risk management as well as efficient operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes as required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting
- 5 years of experience managing/supervising accounting staff
- Ability to read and comprehend financial statements
- Exposure to financial statement audits
- Experience with accounting for foreign currency transactions
- Advance proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with using SAP Concur and Workday financials is preferred
