Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Fund Accountant will focus on the accounting and SEC reporting activities for the BDC sector of the firm.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting procedures for month-end close processes and calculation of NAV
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly SEC filings
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly investor and management reporting
- Work directly with the third-party administrator to coordinate various accounting deliverables on a weekly basis
- Assist with the BDC’s SOX program coordination
- Calculate quarterly shareholder income distributions and process the distribution
- Review third-party admin’s production of capital statements and investor notices
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-7 years of public/private accounting experience
- BDC experience a plus
- Experience with audits and working with fund administrators
- Understanding of a loan origination and various performance metrics
