One of our largest clients is an asset management firm with over $138 billion in AUM and operate across multiple offices globally. They are looking to hire a Senior SQL DBA/Engineer to sit in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong database administration and engineering skills to manage their SQL Server database estate. The team is responsible for the day-to-day support and administration of the full SQL Server technology stack including engineering and all SQL Server database related projects. The role involves working closely with other Infrastructure teams as well as developers and end users. This role is a flexible hybrid schedule, approx. 2 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities
- Administering and managing the SQL Server Database estate
- Performance tuning and analysis
- Assist with day-to-day management of the database architecture covering live and non-live environments
- Maintaining a consistently high level of service delivery for incidents, requests, and changes
- Assist in various projects such as implementing more automation, server upgrades and more
- 5 years’ experience in a Database Administration/Engineering role
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL
- Proficient scripting skills with Powershell for automation
- Highly capable with performance tuning
- Experience using Always On for replicating data
- Expertise in the design and administration of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS infrastructure
- Experience in managing and migrating large volumes of data – compression, partitioning and ETL
- Experience with Cloud technologies – AWS or Azure including configuration and migration of databases from on premises to cloud
- Docker containerization
- Python programming
