The Tax Manager will focus on tax compliance for federal, state, and local tax compliance as well as tax process improvement initiatives and documentation procedures with emphasis on partnership taxation.
Responsibilities
$100,000-$130,000
Our client is a nationwide real estate investment trust and direct lender providing loan origination and servicing for multifamily, single-family rental portfolios, and other diverse commercial real estate assets. The Tax Manager will focus on tax compliance for federal, state, and local tax compliance as well as tax process improvement initiatives and documentation procedures with emphasis on partnership taxation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, multi-state, and local income and franchise tax returns for partnerships, LLCs and C-corporations
- Prepare and review quarterly federal, state, and local estimated installments and annual extension calculations
- Prepare and review tax allocation work papers in accordance with partnership tax regulations
- Prepare annual capital account statements and estimated taxable income statements for Partners/Members
- Manage tax notices and assist with tax audit examinations, as necessary
- Maintain tax calendar with tax filing requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Real estate experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation required
- Understanding of general accounting concepts required
