We are seeking a skilled and motivated Government Proposal Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and writing persuasive, compliance-based proposals for government contracts. This individual will collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and the business development team to prepare high-quality proposals that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Essential Job Duties

  • Proposal Development :

Write, edit, and format high-quality proposals tailored to meet government RFP, RFQ, and RFI requirements, ensuring clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness.

  • Translate complex security operations concepts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  • Develop proposal sections, including executive summaries, technical approaches, past performance, and pricing narratives, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Research and Analysis :

    • Conduct in-depth research on government requirements, solicitation documents, and competitor positioning.

  • Analyze RFPs and other solicitation documents to develop response outlines and compliance matrices.
  • Stay updated on government procurement trends and regulations relevant to the security industry.
  • Collaboration and Coordination :

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as operations, legal, and finance teams, to gather necessary input and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Facilitate proposal review processes, ensuring timely feedback and submission.
  • Maintain effective communication across teams to manage timelines and mitigate risks during the proposal development process.
  • Quality Assurance :

    • Ensure all proposals are accurate, well-written, and free of errors.

  • Guarantee compliance with all applicable government standards and organizational branding guidelines.
  • Regularly review and refine boilerplate content to maintain relevance and competitiveness.
  • Database Management :

    • Maintain a repository of templates, past proposal materials, and client-specific information for reuse and reference.

  • Track and report on proposal outcomes and feedback to improve future submissions.

    • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in government proposal writing, with a strong emphasis on the security guarding industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of government contracting processes, particularly FAR / DFAR compliance.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software (e.g., GovWin, Deltek, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

    • Compensation Range : $80,000 - $120,000 Annually
