Minimum Requirements:
Security Guards
- 1 to 2 years minimum of Security Guard experience
- Valid NYS Security Guard license
- Current F02 Certification (Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard) for shelters
- Valid CPR-AED certification is a plus
- Open availability (minimum one weekend day)
- Must have reliable transportation
- English speaking (fully fluent)
- Customer Service experience (people skills)
- Exceptional work ethic
Security Guard Supervisors
- 2 to 3 years minimum of Supervisory experience
- Valid F80 (F04 is a plus)
- Current F02 Certification (Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard) for shelters
- Valid CPR-AED certification is a plus
- Completion of 16-hr OJT class required by NYS Licensing Division
- Experience managing a team of 10 guards minimum
- Open availability (minimum one weekend day)
- Must have reliable transportation
- English speaking (fully fluent)
- Customer Service experience (people skills)
- Exceptional work ethic
Fire and Life Safety Directors (FLSD)
- 3 to 5 years minimum experience as a FLSD within safety, security, or emergency response position
- Valid FLSD (F89)
- Must have passed an onsite FLSD examination
- Knowledge on fire alarm systems, evacuation procedures, emergency communication systems and fire emergency drills and procedures.
- Experience in operating 6 floor buildings preferred
- Experience managing a team of 15 guards minimum
- Open availability (minimum one weekend day)
- Strong communication
- Customer service experience (people skills)
- Exceptional work ethic
