Online Classes - May 2024
8 HR Pre-Assignment Class $55 per day
- May 14th, 27th
- 9am - 5pm
16 HR On the Job Training (OJT) $110 for the 2 days
- May 15th-16th, and 28th, 30th
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
8 HR Annual Training Class $55 per day
- Mary 21st
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
What you should bring:
- Valid NYS-issued photo ID
- One document showing proof of residency/right to work i.e., social security card, birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, work authorization card or any other acceptable document per federal guidelines
- $50 CLASS FEE PER DAY
Details: The 8-hour pre-licensing course is mandatory for all unarmed and armed security guards seeking licensing in New York. (Exemptions may apply for retired law enforcement officers, please visit the NYS DCJS website for specific details. https://www.criminaljustice.ny.gov/ops/sgtraining/ .
The 8-hour pre-licensing course serves as the first step in the registration process to become a professional security guard. Students passing this class will receive a Certificate of Course Completion documenting their achievement. This certificate must be included with the student's eventual application for a NYS security guard license.
