Key Accountabilities
1) Be an “Assistant of Administrative Tasks.” As a regional coordinator, it would be your responsibility to provide support during the weekly all-calls, including notetaking and helping to set the agenda.
2) Be a “Talent Trainer” when onboarding and orienting new Resident Services Directors. It is your job to introduce company philosophies and best practices to our newest team members, ensuring they are set up for success.
3) Be an “Engineer of Encouragement” for team members and residents. You need to be skilled in the art of arranging, managing, and carrying out the transfer of enthusiasm for Resident Services events and programming.
4) Be a “Creativity Coach” for your fellow team members. As a leading light in your department, you will be an expert on Arrow’s Resident Services tips and tricks and help guide team members in creating innovative programming for their residents.
5) Be a “Special Projects Coordinator.” It is your responsibility to take lead on special projects as they are assigned and support communities when needed.
Duties
This position description is designated to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the individual or the organization to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.
- To maintain the standard expectations of the Resident Services job descriptions, including Resident Services Assistant and Coordinator.
- Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident’s needs.
- Work with Regional Resident Services Director to create and implement new onboarding programs for training and mentoring of new Resident Services Directors and Coordinators at individual properties, including oversight and creation of 90-day plan and audits of departmental paperwork and monthly calendars.
- Provide administrative services for Resident Services Directors,
- Help implement volunteer programs in communities. Participate in weekly Resident Services all-call in which monthly expectations regarding educational and entertainment goals are clearly communicated.
- Help the Regional Resident Services Director review events calendar for selected properties when requested.
- Understand wellness care assessments and ensure alignment with Wellness team regarding resident needs. When called upon, participate in care planning and other meetings for your region, both formal and informal.
- Assist Resident Services Directors in developing and strengthening volunteer efforts.
- Work with Regional Resident Services Director to help develop viral social media campaigns. Working in conjunction with Marketing team on a quarterly basis, responsibilities will include coordinating efforts within area communities for execution by the Marketing team.
- Support directors in your area by helping them manage spend downs and budgeted guidelines when needed.
- Support directors in their partnerships with fellow department heads to ensure the best programming for our residents.
- Regionally, seek opportunities to collaborate with other therapy programs (e.g. pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy), and to connect communities in your area with unique resources.
- Support the implementation of the Neighborhood concept in Memory Care.
- Support and manage new technology in communities. Help train and ensure technology is being utilized efficiently.
- Help lead, assist, and train Resident Services Directors and Regional Leads.
- Travel within the region to support Resident Services Directors, as needed. Update Regional Resident Services Director and Executive Director upon exit of a community visit.
- Calendar consultations, support and meet with the Resident Services Teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical problem-solving skills if needed
- Shall have had at least one year of experience in conducting group activities and be knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs, supervising other employees, and in training volunteers.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
- Proficiency or experience in Office 365 preferred
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Professional in appearance and conduct
- Must be criminally cleared
- Must have CDL license
- Must have a clean driving record as per the insured’s policy.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is sedentary and requires periods of sitting for six to eight hours a day. Employees may also be required to participate in onsite events, which would require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. This position requires employee to be able to retrieve items from storage, including overhead bins or cabinets. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. The use of a ladder is required. The job functions require both indoor and outdoor work.
