Arrow is growing and we're looking for a full-time Carpet & Duct Cleaning Technician.

As a Carpet and Duct Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle (van or box truck) to the client’s location (residential or commercial), assessing the needs of the customer, applying pre-stain solutions or cleaning treatments, and ensuring all work is completed to high standards. You will also up-sell services and cleaning products.
More often than not, you'll be working in a team environment and under the instruction of a lead. As your skill set develops, you may be working some jobsites independently.
We are seeking an individual that can generally work and be available within the range of 6am to 6pm (with flexibility and as dictated by job flow schedule and dispatch) Monday through Friday. More often than not, jobs are scheduled to begin at 8am. There may also be opportunity to work jobs on weekends. Overall hours are estimated to be 45 plus per week. Arrow's footprint does extend beyond the Bismarck/Mandan area. On rare occasions, staying overnight may be required. When/if this happens, Arrow will pay for the hotel room and you will be eligible for a per diem per night spent.

Primary Job Responsibilities of a Carpet & Duct Cleaning Technician:
- Operate and maintain truck mounted carpet extraction equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform thorough carpet cleaning services at various locations, including homes and commercial properties
- Inspect carpets for stains, odors, and damages prior to cleaning
- Use appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques to remove dirt, stains, and odors from carpets
- Moves or assists in the removal of furniture to facilitate cleaning
- Communicate effectively with operations team and address any concerns or issues related to carpet cleaning services
- Performs preventative maintenance on vehicle and equipment to keep in clean running condition
- Perform duct cleaning services for residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Inspect and clean HVAC units, including air ducts, vents, and filters
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Safely drive company vehicle to job sites, following all traffic laws and company procedures
- Assist in related departments when needed (example: mitigation, water losses)
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, mitigation, or restoration work preferred but not necessary. Willing to train the right person
- Knowledge and/or experience of HVAC systems and duct cleaning procedures a plus
- Experience working from a work van or truck a plus
- Effective communication skills with customers, employees, and management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to show empathy and act professionally
- Basic math skills
Physical Demands:
- Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-40 lbs.
- May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull
- Occasional climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat
- Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent
Pay:
- Starting at $17 – $23/hr., but DOE (depends on experience)
- Eligible for overtime (if on hourly pay plan)
- 90-day review (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable)
- Annual reviews scheduled thereafter (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable)
- Potential to be hired into or moved into a commission pay plan, based off prior experience, progress, and development.
- Hourly wage for assisting in other department(s) when/if needed
