Contents/Cleaning Technician

Arrow is growing and we're looking for a full-time Contents Technician (pack-out/in and cleaning) to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality.

As a Contents/Cleaning Technician, it is a top priority to get our customer's personal belongings back to pre-loss conditions and help recover the items (and memories) that are lost during a disaster. This is done through the hard work of our team of professionals as well as state of the art technology that helps clean, eliminate odors, removes stains, and restore personal belongings. Personal belongings are inventoried, cared for, and kept in our climate controlled storage until they are able to be returned back to the customer.

As a Contents/Cleaning Technician, your time will be spent both at our shop as well as at specific job locations.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Sorting and packing of items from fire or water damaged properties
• Packing-out personal properties (contents), ensuring no damage during loading and transport
• Cleaning of personal belongings
• Weighing, labeling, and filing items according to specified requirements
• Wrapping of furniture or other larger items
• Labeling of containers used to store contents
• Inspection and documentation of products for defects
• Sorting, counting, and collating items according to insurance requirements
• Recording inventory of customer contents
• Returning contents to location as per customer request (pack-in)
• Operation of company vehicles ranging from minivans to box trucks
• Cleaning and sanitation of work area and equipment
• Other duties as needed (related)

Experience and Skills:

• 1 year of warehouse, moving, and/or cleaning experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Safety minded

Physical Demands:

• Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-40 lbs.
• May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull.
• Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
• Exposure to weather with temperatures most commonly ranging from mild/moderate to occasional short-term extreme cold/heat.
• Exposure to noise levels ranging from minimal to moderate

Pay:

• $16.50 - $18, but depends on experience (DOE)
• 90-day performance review (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable)
• Annual reviews based off department cycle (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable)

Schedule:

• 40 per week with occasional potential for overtime
• Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am through 5pm (may slightly vary depending on travel distance when working out of town)
• Occasional over-nights (hotel room paid, per diem offered)

Education:

• High school or equivalent required

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Reliable transportation to get to/from work
