We are seeking an individual that can work a 7:30am to 5pm (with flexibility) schedule Monday through Friday and have the on-call ability to respond to occasional emergency calls which primarily result from water loss and flooding. Afterhours on-call status is on a rotating basis and includes bonus pay!
Training will be in Bismarck ND with our experienced mitigation team and will gravitate towards Dickinson. Estimated training is 2 weeks but depends on progress. Hotel room is covered and a nightly per diem is provided.

Duties in this position include water removal/extraction, demolition of damaged property, documentation, as well as equipment setup and project monitoring. You will be working in a team environment and under instruction of a lead.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and review work/job orders every morning.
- Ensure work vehicle (box truck or van) is properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment needed for the day.
- Finding and stopping the water source.
- Water extraction.
- Setting up air moving, drying, dehumidifying, and/or specialty equipment.
- Moving items (personal property) to prevent further damage.
- Demolition – Removal and disposal of wet/damaged building materials.
- Gathering of samples (such as carpet, carpet pad, baseboard, casing, flooring, drywall, paint, etc.).
- Documentation of damage such as photographs (pre-existing damage, pre and post work), moisture meter readings, secondary damage, scoping, etc.).
- Obtaining Drying authorization and collecting deposit.
- Final job walk and clean-up (checking for nails, screws, staples, forgotten samples, etc.).
- Maintain and clean equipment.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in mitigation, carpet cleaning, or restoration work preferred but not necessary. Willing to train the right person.
- Experience working from a work van or box truck a plus.
- Effective and professional communication skills with teammates and management.
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to show empathy.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic math skills.
Physical Demands:
- Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-50 lbs.
- May involve significant standing/walking/ pushing/pulling.
- Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate cold/heat.
- Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent.
Pay:
- Hourly. Depends on experience.
- Increased hourly wage (hazard pay) based off job classification and PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements. Examples include mold, trauma, sewage, etc.
- Eligible for over-time pay.
- On-call pay, call out, and bonus structure (rotating and when scheduled).
- 90-day review (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable). Annual reviews scheduled thereafter within department review cycle (eligible for wage adjustment if applicable).

Schedule:
- 40 to 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am through 5pm. Occasional 6:30am starts to accommodate travel distance.
- Rotating on-call schedule for afterhours (after 5pm) emergencies, which includes weekends.
- Occasional over-nights with hotel room paid and per diem provided.
Age Requirement:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education:
- High school or equivalent
License/Certification:
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the Dickinson office
