The successful candidate will be responsible for operating lathes, mills or grinders to cut, sharpen, bore, grind, repair or make tools on metal or plastic materials to job requirements for the production process. They will also inspect, fabricate and finish tools using various techniques such as visual inspection, microscopes, micrometers and automated measuring instruments.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and previous work experience in tool grinding. They must be able to interpret instructions both written and oral, and stand for long periods of time occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
