- Operate lathes, mills or grinders to cut, sharpen, bore, grind, repair or make tools on metal or plastic materials.
- Inspect, fabricate and finish tools using various techniques such as visual inspection, microscopes, micrometers and automated measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Understand and perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
