Job Overview

Arrow Tech, a division of Arrow Tank and Engineering is searching for a shipping receiving candidate to work at the Coon Rapids facility. The shipping receiving team member will work with senior employees in the shipping department. The major role of the department will be managing inventory in and out of the facility.

As supplies come in they are to be properly received and put away. As parts are sold the shipping department will follow sales orders instructions to set up shipping arrangements, pull and package parts, and complete the transaction. Some of the standard shipping methods used are as follows, FedEx, UPS, LTL, Courier Services, Freight, and direct delivery by Arrow. Other shipping services may be used. Training will be provided, but experience in these areas is preferred. Lifting boxes, tubing, pipe, and supplies is expected for internal operations as well as during deliveries in a DOT regulated vehicle. Candidates may be expected to comply with DOT regulations for driving a commercial delivery vehicle. CDL will NOT be required. Candidates will be expected to lift items up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

The job will also require the use of our ERP system called Microsoft Dynamics NAV which we will also provide training for, but any experience is preferred.

This position is a first shift position. Normal hours are 7:30 am to 4:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch at noon. There are two paid 10 minute breaks at 9:30am and 2:30pm. You will be required to pass a DOT screening and physical which will be scheduled and paid for by Arrow. The successful candidate will be starting as a Trainee in the Shipping Receiving Job Classification and the respective training hourly rate unless previous experience warrants an advancement.

Work Activities

• Receive purchased parts and supplies

• Ship parts and products per Sales Order instructions

• Process Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, and Packing Slips per internal standards

• Arrange shipments using various couriers

• Pull inventory to be processed by others

• Operate forklift (Training will be provided)

• Deliver parts using DOT Registered Vehicle and meet all associated requirements (Ask for Supplemental Guidelines)

Wage

Full union scale for this position is $31.61 per hour. If experience is limited Arrow may higher at the training rate of $3 below full scale or $28.61.

DOT Requirements

Will need to meet DOT requirements. Will require special application, DOT medical screening, road test, submission of driving records, and regular driving record reviews. A CDL or specialized driver’s license is NOT REQUIRED.

Pay: $28.61 - $31.61 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
