Start Date: April 21 (2-week Assignment with the potential to extend )
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
1 Day Event (April 26)
- Shift 1: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Shift 2: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary staff by assisting with food preparation tasks, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and eager to learn and grow within a kitchen setting.
Responsibilities
- Basic food preparation (dicing vegetables, salting fries, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Following all food safety protocols
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by chefs or kitchen managers to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Support cooking staff during meal service by providing assistance as needed.
- Participate in training sessions related to food handling procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred .
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Punctuality and reliability
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies.
