We are looking for a Tax Compliance Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s tax strategy to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring full compliance with local, federal, state, payroll, sales tax, and international tax regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to tax planning, compliance, and advisory to support business decisions and drive operational excellence.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws. Activities may include: tax planning; research; compliance; reporting and filings; auditing; and communicating with external tax agencies.
- Evaluate activities, policies, practices, and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Advise senior management on tax matters and on the potential impact of laws and regulations on the operation of the organization.
- Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Ensure the organization's tax strategy is implemented accurately and consistently and in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for tax authorities.
- Activities related to the processing of payroll, aiming at guaranteeing the correct payment of employees within company parameters and according to current legislation and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Tax or a relevant discipline, with CPA designation preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Ceridian or similar Human Capital Management system.
- Demonstrated proficiency in laws and regulations governing Tax and Payroll.
- Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Must have ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
