Description
The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing structural and non-structural repairs in accordance to manufacture specifications.
The Body Shop Technician is supervised by the Body Shop Director.
Essential Functions and Duties
· Review and perform repairs as outline by estimate.
· Communicate with estimator throughout the tear down process to help identity hidden damages.
· Perform electronic measuring and pulls in a timely and safe manner.
· Perform quality check on work completed before and after paint.
· Complete BMW, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover certification within six months of employment
· Keep the work area organized.
· Weld aluminum, metal, and silicon bronze as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
· Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
· Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer’s vehicles.
· Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
· Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
· Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
Requirements
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Time Management – ability to manage one’s own time
· I-Car Aluminum or interested in becoming certified
· 2 Years of an A level technician
· Have all tools necessary to work
· Motivated to exceed goals
· Attention to detail

MINIMUM Hiring Requirements
· High school graduate or equivalent
· 18 years or older
· Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
