Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, including lawn care, gardening, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Groundskeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure optimal growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various groundskeeping tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all groundskeeping equipment and tools.
- Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying any issues that require attention or treatment.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new landscaping projects.
- Ensure all grounds are safe for public use by removing debris and addressing any hazards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and lawn care techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A passion for gardening and landscaping is highly desirable.
