The Referral Coordinator is a healthcare professional, responsible for helping direct patients to the proper specialty provider referred by a medical provider. This individual works to complete the assigned responsibilities and provides an appropriate medical environment to assure high quality care by performing the following duties.
LOCATION: Glendale, AZ

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focuses on patient priorities with a kind and caring attitude to ensure quality care.
- Maintaining Inbound referrals for Pain Management and Injured Workers Program.
- Schedule for the specialty services providers that come to our facility.
- Regular communication and follow up with the specialty service providers
- Understanding which insurances require a referral or an authorization
- Making sure that our referral tasks are up to date within a 72-business hour timeframe
- Documenting and logging all outbound referrals in EMR
- Documenting the dictation received from our specialty service providers
- Answers patient inquiries in an appropriate manner and complies with patient's needs at all times.
- Performs general office responsibilities, to include typing and answering telephone/client inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in using Microsoft word, Excel, and an Electronic Medical Record system, Preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
