About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Water Plant Operator to join our team in the Public Administration industry. As a Waste Water Plant Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper treatment of wastewater in compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and health of our community by ensuring the proper functioning of our water treatment facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid wastewater treatment operator certification
- Experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment and processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for wastewater treatment and discharge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field
- Experience with SCADA systems
- Experience with laboratory analysis of wastewater samples
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes to maintain optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Collect and analyze samples to ensure proper treatment and discharge of wastewater
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
