Quality Control Manager

Position Summary:
Arrowhead Machining seeks a reliable, hard-working Quality Control Manager with a CNC Machinist background. In this role, you will lead our QC department, which consists of 3 Detailing Technicians and 1 QC inspector.

Daily duties will consist of managing the processes of in-process inspection of parts and programming our Mitutoyo Mystar CMM and Mico-Vu optical comparator. As a valuable part of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our production quotas are consistently met while observing the highest safety and quality standards. You must be reliable, punctual, and able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities:

· Program and run CMM and measure parts on Micro-Vu;

· Develop and implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate parts;

· Develop inspection and deburring processes and procedures;

· Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data;

· Train the production team in the quality assessment of parts;

· Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct;

· Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products;

· Work closely with the programmers and engineers;

· Demonstrate ability to use and interpret measuring devices and equipment;

· Use of hand and power tools daily;

· Clean, organize, and maintain a safe work area and facility;

· Make an effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality;

· Work cooperatively with leadership to meet quotas and goals;

· Assist the lead(s) with production goals.

· Report machinery issues to management;

· Observe safety guidelines and report concerns to management in a timely fashion;

· Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude;

Desirable Qualifications:

· 5 years of CNC Machinist experience;

· 7 years of Quality Control experience;

· Mechanically inclined with a good working attitude, a self-starter;

· Ability to follow complex and multiple instructions;

· Have a working knowledge of standard hand tools.

Minimum Position Requirements:

· 4 years of CNC Machinist experience;

· 4 years of Quality Control experience;

· Proficient in MS Office.

· Must be 18 years old.

· High school diploma or GED.

· Experience with CNC Machines preferred.

· Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.

· Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if needed.

· Must be able to work in a team environment.

Language Skills:

Must be able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Work Environment:

· Required to use PPE; Safety glasses

· Exposure to chemicals, such as commercial products (oil, cleaning solvents, moving machinery, fumes, dust, excessive noise).

· Lift to 50 lbs.

· Bending, stooping, and standing for 10 hours
