Arrowhead is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our growing In Vivo Pharmacology team within the Biology Department at our Madison site. The successful candidate will be joining a team dedicated to discovering, developing, and translating novel drug targets.
Responsibilities
$55,000—$65,000 USD

Responsibilities
- Perform in vivo studies and ex vivo analysis to facilitate drug discovery and development in various diseases
- May contribute to the establishment of new preclinical animal disease models
- Read and apply relevant scientific literature to projects
- Contribute to the review and drafting of SOPs and other relevant documents
- Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab and perform critical experiments
- Prepare and maintain detailed record-keeping of study documents
- Mentor junior teammates on procedures, processes, and/or other areas as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field and some experience with small animal handling in a research setting (i.e. test article administration and tissue collection) - OR - an Associate Degree in a related area and 7 years of experience.
- Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail
- Experience in data analysis, graphing, and making presentations
- Ability to work independently and to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and resilience in problem-solving
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment
- Preclinical disease model development in the context of drug discovery
- Experiences with animal dose administration and surgical procedures
