Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a company find a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Project Engineer to support their continued growth. This role is responsible for leading new projects, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication or CNC environments, and previous project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Manufacturing Engineering
- Lead the onboarding of new parts and projects, working closely with internal teams to develop and detail manufacturing processes.
- Manage prototype builds, validate parts, and design tools, fixtures, and jigs to optimize production.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Design and develop new products and redesign existing sheet metal components.
- Utilize 3D CAD software to create sheet metal parts and reverse-engineered components.
- Generate 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings.
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs) to support product orders.
Project Management & Customer Relations
- Oversee specific customer accounts, serving as the main engineering contact for new projects, quality concerns, and expedited orders.
- Manage project schedules to ensure timely product delivery.
Facilities & Manufacturing Support
- Lead expansion and continuous improvement initiatives, including implementing and installing new equipment and processes.
- Assist in facility expansions, including construction management, plant layout design, and startup of new capacities.
- Design and build material handling equipment.
- Provide mechanical expertise to support tooling, fabrication, and assembly operations.
Research & Development (R&D) Champion
- Recommend, procure, and develop new processes and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Foster innovation and facilitate the adoption of state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies.
- Train and support teams in the implementation of new technologies.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and productivity improvements in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Metal fabrication and/or Machining background are essential. 5 years of experience in manufacturing with a background in fabrication and CNC environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
- Experience with ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High level of reliability, work ethic, and integrity.
