Summary
As the Sanitation Supervisor you report directly to the Sanitation Manager and are responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the facility.
The will be a floating shift that will include working at least one weekend day every week.
Abilities Required:
- Must have prior industrial or high-speed food manufacturing and supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a team-oriented environment.
- Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a solid foundation in food processing manufacturing (preferably baking).
- Union plant experience preferred.
- Strong communication, human relations, and safety awareness skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of computers, including MS Office applications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follows the direction of the Plant Sanitation Manager to direct plant sanitation procedures, programs, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all equipment is clean and safe for production.
- Adheres to high sanitation, GMP, and safety standards. Must be capable of being trained in Lock, Out Tag Out, fall risk protection, narrow space entry, and forklift certification.
- Follows the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOPs, assists the department, and trains new team members in the job functions.
- Assists in ATP swabs and environmental monitoring.
- Responsible for CIP functions on yeast tanks and brew systems.
- Responsible for flour intake and storage systems.
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the FSSC 220000 for Food Safety and other third-party audits.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, and damage to the proper channels immediately.
- Additional requirements to be given by the Sanitation Manager.
