Job Title: Job Coach 

Home Office: Anna, IL; Vienna, IL; or Cairo, IL. Location is dependent on availability and personal preference

Area of Focus: Community Collaboration 

Program(s):  Division of Rehabilitation Services - Supported Employment Program (DRS-SEP) - This program provides vital job coaching and advocacy to individuals, particularly those with disabilities and other employment barriers, referred directly to us by DRS by connecting participants with meaningful employment opportunities while offering the support needed for long-term success.  

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Special Projects 

Hours of Work: Full-time 40 hours. 

Job Coach Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred in human services or a related field. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities and those facing other employment barriers, is preferred.

Job Coach Special Requirements: Maintain and provide proof of a valid driver's license; maintain and provide proof of personal vehicle liability insurance; at least 21 years of age; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; maintains CPR & First Aid training requirements.

Job Coach Skills & Knowledge:  Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in using technology for case management and reporting; ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and other challenges; problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations; commitment to empowering individuals and advocating for their success.

Job Coach job duties include, but not limited to
  • Provide job coaching and support services to program participants, helping them develop the skills necessary for job retention and career advancement.
  • Conduct assessments to identify participants' strengths, barriers, and needs related to employment, particularly focusing on individuals with disabilities and other challenges.
  • Collaborate with community partners to facilitate access to training, employment opportunities, and support services.
  • Assist participants with job search activities, resume writing, interview preparation, and developing job-related skills.
  • Monitor and track participants’ progress, providing ongoing support and encouragement tailored to their individual needs.
  • Advocate for participants' needs and rights in the workplace and community, especially those facing significant barriers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participant progress, case notes, and other required reports.
  • Engage with employers to develop job opportunities and provide workplace support for participants, ensuring inclusive practices for individuals with disabilities.
  • Work in the community to directly support participants, facilitating connections with local resources and opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance service delivery.

Salary Range: $32,932 - $44,133 annually
