The Client Services group at Arrowstreet serves as a key contributor to the overall client experience at Arrowstreet and works closely with the Client Relationship Management and Strategic Relationships teams to provide high-quality support to our client base. Our group, which consists of an Operations team as well as Relationship Specialist team, is responsible for supporting all client related activities including managing internal and external daily inquires and requests from clients, consultants, and custodians. Such activities also include facilitating investor onboarding and managing investor transactions for both new and existing investors.
Responsibilities
The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal business partners as well as clients by working closely within Client Services as well as with Client Relationship Managers in Arrowstreet’s Strategic Relationship and Global Client Services teams to meet the business objectives set out for each client and the firm. The individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring client related activities are completed in a high quality, consistent and timely manner. This individual will also be expected to work proactively with other internal teams to streamline and / or automate processes, where practicable. The position will require a basic understanding of investment processes and ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.

Ideal candidates will have direct work experience in the asset management industry with investment advisory client service, fund administration, transfer agency, investor services or alternative investment experience. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting an array of client relationship management activities and client initiatives in both separately managed accounts and commingled funds
- Working closely with the Operations team in Client Services, often serving in a review role, in coordinating investor cash flow activity across internal and external teams to ensure transactions are successfully processed by all parties
- Coordinating trading plans related to investor cash flow activity with the investment team
- Managing operational aspects of the investor onboarding process
- Responding to and resolving other client, consultant, and custodian inquiries/concerns/issues in a timely and effective manner by collaborating with a wide variety of internal teams including Funds Group, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing and Reporting teams.
- Supporting client diligence meetings by preparing materials, coordinating agendas, and seeing through follow-up action items to conclusion
- Maintaining internal client data system and ensuring client information in internal systems is complete and accurate
- Escalating client matters/concerns to Relationship Management when appropriate
- Managing time‐sensitive projects

Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree is a requirement
- 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in a role with external facing experience preferably in the financial industry.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment with multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and structured thinking with a keen interest in how things work
- Willingness to investigate issues and follow through to resolution
- Experience with reviewing and/or coordinating investor flows in commingled funds is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
