The Dietician/Food Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a kitchen within a healthcare setting, ensuring food preparation adheres to quality, dietary guidelines and client needs, while supervising kitchen/server staff
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
1. EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Registered Dietician Required
2. EXPERIENCE: For those in recovery, a minimum of 1-year sustained sobriety.
Must be able to pass a drug toxicology test.
3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Registered Dietician
4. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen/serving staff on proper food handling techniques, sanitation procedures, and dietary guidelines.
Assign tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient food service.
Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss updates, quality control, and safety protocols.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT
1. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Position is required to work in a temperature-controlled environment as well as outdoors for perimeter checks.

4. JOB CATEGORY STANDARD PRECAUTIONS: Routine tasks to high exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations may arise in which the employee might encounter potential exposure to any of the above).

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
1. Manage food inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and rotating stock to minimize waste
2. Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
3. Work with outside caterers to ensure quality and variety of catered meals.
4. Place catering orders with regular caterers as well as weekly variety orders from local restaurants
5. Place weekly snack and drink orders with approval of Director of Operations
6. Maintain cleanliness of serving and storage areas
7. Conduct at least 2 group sessions specifically related to nutrition and diet.
