Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team in delivering exceptional events at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center. As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions while ensuring all guests have a flawless and memorable experience. You will play a key role in coordinating staff, monitoring service quality, and maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise banquet operations, including setup, service, and teardown, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and other departments to meet client specifications and deliver seamless events.
- Lead and train banquet staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering teamwork.
- Monitor service quality and proactively address any issues or guest concerns.
- Ensure all banquet spaces are impeccably set up, including table arrangements, décor, and equipment.
- Manage inventory of banquet supplies and communicate replenishment needs to management.
- Oversee adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
- Provide post-event feedback and reports to management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet service or hospitality leadership is required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- A positive attitude and dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food service and beverage operations is an advantage.
