A hospital in California is looking for an experienced MedSurg / Tele nurse for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
Job Requirements
Hold an active BLS certification.
Hold an active ACLS certification.
Hold an active NIH certification.
Hold an active California License.
Schedule Information
12 hr shifts, 7-7
Weekend Requirement : every other
Holidays : they will work them in the perm staff rotation.
Unit Specific Information
Ratios : 1 to 5 , 1 to 4 for tele
Floating : yes to MS, tele, or rehab, can also float to MS or Tele at Marian
Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Ortho, CHF, COPD, general surgeries, Nstemi's, pneumonia, ETOH, pre-screen them for higher acuity (tele nurses)
Scrub Color : navy
Nurse's Read Strips : yes
Vents : No
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : on call after hours
IV Team : No
Additional Details
ACLS, BLS required.
Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates.
Managers will do 2nd interview.
All nurses going to below units will be required to complete 15 minute proctored exam to assess basic EKG competency during orientation at the hospital.
