Yard Manager

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Yard Manager to oversee daily operations at our crude oil terminal in Brownsville, TX. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in the oil field industry. The Yard Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of crude oil loading and unloading operations, maintaining the facility, and managing personnel shifts.

Duties

• Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the loading and unloading of crude oil from trucks, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit daily reports on yard operations, inventory levels, and any incidents.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the yard is well-maintained, clean, and operational; oversee necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor safety protocols and ensure all employees adhere to company and regulatory guidelines.
• General Yard Management: Keep track of equipment, address operational issues, and take proactive steps to improve overall efficiency.
• Shift Management: Handle shift scheduling and coordinate shift changes for employees.
• Train and supervise yard staff, fostering a productive work atmosphere.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of oil field experience (yard operations, loading/unloading crude oil, or similar industry experience preferred).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members, reporting and coordinating with management.
• Experience in shift scheduling and team coordination.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repairs for yard equipment.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate a team towards achieving operational goals.
