Automotive Technician

Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is looking for a full-time Assistant Equipment Technician to join our golf course maintenance team. The Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is a public-access daily fee golf course and includes a full service restaurant and banquet space for weddings, company meetings, or any other celebration. We are in the business of individual attention to each individual customer.

Hours:

4:30am – 1:00pm 

Salary:

$18.00 - $22.00/hour DOE

Job Summary:

The Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic  reports directly to the Equipment Manager. The responsibility of the assistant technician is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing conditions of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. The assistant technician will perform minor repairs on a variety of electric, gasoline and diesel-powered equipment under the direction of the Equipment Manager. The assistant technician is responsible for taking all measures available to prevent equipment failures and to report all issues to the Equipment Manager. The assistant technician properly communicates any needs or problems related to the maintenance and repair of all property owned by Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. The assistant technician places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop/work area. Will be trained by the Equipment Manager to excel in golf course equipment repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with repair and maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment
• Maintain maintenace and fluid use logs on equipment
• Clean and inspect machinery as needed
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Communicates any needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment to the Equipment Manager
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

Position Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of small engine repair is a plus.  (On the job traning will be provided)
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, lay, crouch, push, pull, stretch, bend, and walk to perform job tasks correctly
• Ability to withstand constant moderate noise levels associated with the shop environment
• Moderate exposure to oils, grease, diesel, gasoline, fumes, toxic and/or caustic chemicals, and pesticides, mechanical and electrical hazards
• Must be able to work in a variety of work environments including cold, hot, wet and dusty conditions
• Effective written and/or oral communication required
