Position Description:
The Counselor provides direct counseling and case manager services to patients, consisting of individual, and group services, including assessment, individualized treatment plans, counseling and aftercare services. The Counselor will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company

Essential Functions:
- Maintain caseload per State Regulations
- Completes, with patient participation, a Preliminary Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual.
- Completes a Treatment Plan Review and update for each patient after completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
- Documents each individual, group, case management or other patient contacts by way of progress note written in “DAP” formula .
- Provides evidence-based and other approved counseling techniques and interventions to facilitate patient success in treatment.
- Facilitates psycho educational and process-oriented groups as assigned on a monthly basis.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 2 year of experience in direct care counseling or Master’s Degree preferred in a human services field - Psychology, Counseling, Social Work
- Bilingual Preferred
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Advanced alcohol and Drug counselor (CAADC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with consumers, teammates, and other professionals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to pass required State and Federal criminal and Child Protective Services background checks
