What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Part-time Computer Infrastructure Technical Project Manager position at ARS Technology?

Individual Responsibilities:
- Gathering and assessing client needs
- Planning project(s) and give solutions within the client's IT budget
- Helping client purchase needed technology with supplier(s)
- Implement software & hardware solutions within agreed upon deadline
- Document results for clients
- Emailing daily status report to ARS Client Business Development Manager
Experience Required:
5 years experience in implementing, installing and documenting technology, technical project management, documentation and project management.
Skills Required:
- Advanced project management, being able to create network diagrams, network operation manuals
- Knowledge of installing all Microsoft products
- Advanced organizational skills and ability to explain technologies to clients who are not aware of what technology is needed and why
- Ability to lead and multi-task
- Advanced systems installation knowledge and conversant around integration architectures
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Cisco, Firewalls, Novell and SharePoint Portal Services is a plus
- Demonstrated work with infrastructure/deployment issues (T1, Routers, Modem and Ethernet technologies)
- Microsoft Project knowledge
- Used various client-server architecture tools
Education:
Bachelors Degree or higher (preferably with major in Computer Science)
PMP certification is desired but not required.
Project Durations:
1 day to 3 months
Pay:
$50 - $62.50/hr on 1099
