Arsenal Bio is looking for a contract term Materials Technician to perform receipt, store, dispense, and ship raw materials in a safe, accurate, compliant, and economical manner to support non-GMP operations at Arsenal Bio facilities. The individual will also maintain an organized, secure, and efficient materials management operations while performing tasks consistent with established procedures and guidelines.
- Understand and navigate electronic and computerized systems related to Materials Management, i.e. calculators, scanners, inventory & receiving systems, spreadsheets.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory, expiration, and retest records.
- Assist with pulling, picking up, and delivering/transporting materials & equipment to departmental customers.
- Assist with monitoring inventory area to ensure optimum replenishment of laboratory materials
- Assist with performing inventory cycle counts and physical inventories
- Assist with shipping, receiving materials
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform all work activities in a safe and compliant manner as delineated by ArsenalBio policies, procedures, and verbal instructions
- Adhere to company safety requirements specifically in a commercial laboratory environment
- Communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Sit, stand, and walk for a minimum of eight (8) hours with standard rest breaks and a meal break
- Bend at the waist, kneel, and crouch in order to access, lift, retrieve, and put away materials used within commercial GMP manufacturing space and R&D laboratories
- Repeatedly lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds throughout an eight (8) work shift.
- Cross-train and work in other operational areas such as laboratory, facilities, and manufacturing to meet ArsenalBio’s business needs
- Provide consistent attention-to-detail and good organizational skills that result in our customer’s operational and business success
- Provide self-managed task execution

- Promotes an environment of process improvement and creative solutions to enhance Supply Chain efficiency and effectiveness
- Learn Supply Chain Lean principles & practices and assist in applying these principles & practices within ArsenalBio’s Supply Chain organization.
- Access various business systems and input data with 100% accuracy (i.e., decommissioning of materials, material destruction, site-to-site movements, and other non-routine ERP transactions)
- Use manual labor, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if qualified) to move product and R&D supplies to and from storage locations and delivery trucks to company end-users
- Assist other ArsenalBio departments with additional duties as assigned
- Acquire all Materials Technician 2 job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks within the first six months of employment at ArsenalBio
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year related experience; AA/AS preferred
- Proven mathematical skills not using a calculator (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- 1 year of customer service and/or warehouse operations experience or equivalent type experience.
- Valid California driver’s license clean driving record
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
- Ability to repeatedly lift, move and place up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations software applications
- Flexibility in assignments and able to work over-time, holidays, weekends, and different shifts and sites as required to meet business and customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work appropriately with minimal supervision

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $22.45 –$27.50 / hour. Salary ranges for other locations may vary. Base pay offered may vary based on job related knowledge, experience, education, and location. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
