Position Summary:
Arsenal Resources is seeking a full-time Midstream Operator, local to Bridgeport, WV or surrounding area, who will be responsible for monitoring and operating midstream assets to ensure safe and dependable operations of the pipeline, compression, dehydration and metering stations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Track and control compressor station parameters
· Operate and schedule maintenance for compressors, glycol dehydrators, and all associated equipment including but not limited to separators, filters, regulators, and meters
· Input data into SCADA systems
· Monitor pipeline pressures and flows on a regular basis to ensure efficient operations
· Work with supervisor to create ways to lower operating expenses where applicable
· Responsible for on-call notifications for pipeline locations of proposed construction work
· Execute pipeline patrols to inspect for leaks and other activity along pipelines
· Responsible for pipeline pigging operations
· Coordinate repairs of pipeline and facilities
· Routine maintenance tasks such as painting, weed eating, facilities, etc.
· Responsible for installation and maintenance of pipeline markers
· Responsible for ensuring valve maintenance is completed
· Responsible for ensuring right of way mowing is completed by contractor
· Work with lease operators during pigging operations, startup and shutdown of facilities
· Work with outside contractors to ensure DOT compliance of facilities
· Manage contractors, coordinate work schedules, and approve invoices
· Create and document procedures as needed
· Adhere and hold vendors accountable for compliance with HSE policies
· Other duties as required
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements):
· High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oil and gas with emphasis on midstream operations preferred
· Operator Qualified (OQ) to work on DOT jurisdictional pipelines
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
· Efficient time management skills
· Knowledgeable on compressors, glycol dehydrators, gas measurement and regulations, and SCADA
· Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines
· Ability to deviate from established procedures when special problems or opportunities arise
· High degree of initiative and independent judgment
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Position subject to weeklong rotations with 24 hours on call
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Ability to drive distances, walk on well locations, sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or office, ability to type on a keyboard, and ability to present oral and written communications. Be able to walk on uneven surfaces, climb up and down ladders, lift medium to heavy objects, reach overhead for items, stoop, bend, and twist. Vision and hearing must be acceptable. Extensive field work will be performed.
