ARServices is seeking an Engineering Controls Certification Specialist to work in the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD area.
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Chemical Biological Center (CBC), subsequently referred to as DEVCOM CBC or the Center is primarily responsible for the conduct and management of research, development, and life-cycle engineering support of defensive systems. The Center’s mission is to develop, integrate, sustain, and dispose of decisive technology enabled capabilities. The Engineering Controls Certification Specialist will support DEVCOM CBC, along with other Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) defense Organizations, with Mission focused requirements around developing and transitioning technologies, as well as complete life-cycle engineering activities. The Engineering Controls Certification Specialist will work closely with DEVCOM CBC program managers and laboratory managers to ensure laboratory equipment is successfully installed, maintained, compliant with regulations, and fully usable by laboratory staff.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Certifies hoods based on standardized operating procedures and DEVCOM processes.
- Performs tests, documents, and certifies laboratory hoods, filter systems, vapor containment systems, and hood alarms in DEVCOM CBC, ensuring they are in compliance with Department of Army (DA) and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
- Calibrates and certifies safety equipment, to include laboratory engineering controls (i.e., chemical fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, etc.).
- Works closely with laboratory staff to schedule testing and certification activities.
Active/current Secret clearance is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Technical Degree above a high school diploma.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of engineering controls certification.
